Saras Apple Butter
Ingredients
- 10 pounds fuji apples
- 2 bottles spicy dry wine (we used a Spanish grenache)
- 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon (we used Vietnamese)
- 1 teaspoon ground clove
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- juice from 2 lemons
