Garlic Ginger Fried Rice Cakes
Ingredients

- 1/3 cup potato starch or cornstarch
- 1/3 cup rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pound cylinder-shaped rice cakes
- 1 egg
- canola or vegetable oil for frying
- For the Ginger-Garlic Sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 inch piece of ginger, minced
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (optional)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons red chile flakes
- 1 scallion, sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
