- 1 tablespoon finely chopped or lightly crushed ginger
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup lard
- 10 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick, 2 inches long
- 2 black cardamom pods
- 3 Green cardamom pods
