- 1 small (6 oz.) green bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 small (8 oz.) yellow onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 2 large (1 oz. each) celery stalks, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
- 8 cups chopped cabbage (from 1 [2-lb.] head cabbage)
- 1 (14-oz.) can hearts of palm, drained and sliced
- 1 (14 1/2-oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup tap water
