Ingredients
- For the soup:
- ½ lb of stew beef, cut in cubes
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 medium size carrot, shredded
- 1 medium size onion, chopped in cubes
- 1 stalk of celery, cut in thin slices
- 1 bell pepper, cut in cubes
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of caraway powder (you may not have it in your pantry but this is a key ingredient for the flavor)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of parsley finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- For the dumplings:
- 1 cup of flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup of water
