Ingredients
- 8 shrimp, peeled and deveined (keep tails on)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Juice of 1/4 of a lime
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil, divided
- 2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
- 1 Thai chili, finely chopped
- 3/4 cup green onions, chopped into rounds
- 1 cup freshly grated coconut (you can also use frozen coconut)
- Pinch garam masala
- More salt to taste
- Chopped parsley and a wedge of lime, to garnish and serve
- Butter, to serve
- 1 cup good quality grits, cooked according to package instructions
