Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk (low-fat is OK)
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped (if frozen, do not thaw them)
- 1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- Demarara sugar, for sprinkling on top of the bread
