Peach Tart With Basil And Mascarpone
Ingredients
- 1 c mascarpone cheese
- 0.5 c basil chiffonade (leaves rolled and cut into very thin ribbons) plus more for garnish
- 0.75 c sugar
- 1.25 c flour
- 3 T fine yellow corn meal
- 0.25 t salt
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 T heavy cream
- 8 T unsalted butter, softened
- 0.5 t pure vanilla extract
- 4 large peaches
- 0.25 c cream, possibly a bit more
