Roasted Cherry Chocolate Almond Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 quart ( 1 1/2 pounds) cherries, stems removed
- Kosher salt
- 2 cups half and half
- 6 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ounces dark chocolate (about 70% cocoa), chopped fine
- 2 ounces roasted almonds, toasted and chopped fine
