Ingredients
- 400-500 gram Lamb or beef (stew cuts) cubed
- 1 cup Yellow split peas(((rinsed and soaked for 1 hour)
- 1 piece Onion (large) finely chopped
- 2 teaspoon Tomato paste
- 2-3 piece Dried limes (limoo amani)
- 2 piece Potatoes medium, cut into thin sticks or small fries (for topping)
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- Salt: to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup Cooking oil
- 3-4 cup Water (enough to cover ingredients)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice or verjuice (optional) for added tang
