Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, divided
- 2 pounds lean stew beef, cubed
- 1/2 cup Wondra or plain flour
- 1/2 bottle dry red wine
- 4 cups beef stock
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 medium red onion, peeled and sliced thin
- 8 ounces mushrooms, trimmed and quartered
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup cool water
- sea salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces 'No Yolks' egg dumplings, or noodles of your choice
