- 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil

- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 pound pork or beef smoked sausage, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
