- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups (1 pint) heavy cream
- 6 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 pound red bliss potatoes, diced
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
- Oyster crackers, as an accompaniment
