- 1 x sweet yellow onion, diced

- 3 oz pancetta, chopped
- 4 x cloves of garlic, minced
- Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 14 oz diced tomatoes, with juice
- 2-3 cups fresh kale, chopped
- 1 15 oz white cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 x bay leaf
- 2 inch Parmesan rind
- 1 cup whole wheat spaghetti, broken into 1 inch pieces
- Grated Parmesan, for serving
