Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 medium onion (chopped very fine)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning mix
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon paprika (sweet, not smoked or hot)
- salt (to taste)
- fresh ground pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (more or less, depending on your taste)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar, but whatever you have on hand is fine)
- 1⁄2 cup ketchup (I use Heinz)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons mustard
- 8 ounces egg noodles (or elbow macaroni)
