- 5 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cubed into tablespoon pieces
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups chicken stock or low-sodium broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 large white onion, finely chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1–14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes drained
- 2 tablespoons hot Hungarian paprika
- 3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon thyme leaves
- Chopped parsley for garnish.
