Ingredients
- 1 lb your favorite fresh fish filets (you can use flounder, white fish, perch or whatever you like. i used virginia mullet in the picture).
- 1/2 to 3/4 c buttermilk
- 1/2 c *self rising flour
- 1/2 c *self rising white cornmeal (not mix)
- 1/4 tsp old bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- · oil for frying
- · *self rising flour and cornmeal seems to give a lighter coating and adheres well.
