- 1 pound ground beef
- 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ground black pepper
- 4 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 ounces carrots, julienned or shredded
- 8 ounces mushrooms, cleaned and chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
- 4 cups mashed potatoes (see Tips & Tricks below for recipe, if you don't have leftovers)
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
