Ingredients
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 inch piece of ginger
- 1 cup split chickpeas (chana dal soaked overnight)
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ajwain (carom seems)
- 8 to 10 whole button red chilies
- 2 + 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups water
- 2 medium potatoes boiled* (500 gm)
- 1 cup coriander leaves (cilantro) (or half a bunch)
- 1 big onion
- 2 tsp mango powder / khattayi powder*
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp chat masala
- 4 tbsp tamarind pulp
- 6 tbsp Yogurt
- 4 Green Chilies (serrano)
- 3 cloves of garlic

- 1/2 cup Coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup Mint leaves
- Water to dilute if needed.
- 12 Round buns or pav (without sesame seeds)
- 2 medium thinly sliced onions
