- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) unsalted butter , plus extra for baking dish
- 1 large onion , chopped fine (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 3 celery ribs , chopped fine (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 2 teaspoons table salt
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh sage leaves
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
