- 3 -4 teaspoons lard or 3 -4 teaspoons shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 cup very warm water
- For the filling
- 3 large tomatoes, roasted,peeled,cored and chopped
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 1⁄2 lbs ground lean pork
- 1 teaspoon black pepper (fresh grind if you can)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1⁄4 cup dark raisin
- 4 teaspoons cider vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup slivered almonds
- 1 teaspoon salt
