Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1.5 tablespoons sour milk (I add a bit of apple-cider vinegar to sour the milk)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup raw apples (chopped into ½" pieces, not peeled) - I used both green and red.
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts are my preference)
