Rustic Cast Iron Shepherds Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 ½ cups corn (frozen or canned, drained)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 lbs potatoes (peeled and diced)
- ½ cup milk
- 3 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (pptional)
