- 1 bowl (about 3/4 cup or 150 grams) rice
- as needed Water
- as needed Ghee
- For Kadhi ---
- 3.5 oz (100 grams) chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
- 1 oz (about 2 tablespoons or 25 grams) buttermilk or plain yogurt
- Salt to taste
- 5-6 curry leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 2-3 pinches asafoetida (hing)
- 1 whole dried red chili
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground red chili powder
- Water as needed to make the chickpea flour batter (as needed)
- Oil as needed for frying fritters
- Ghee as needed for tempering
