red velvet pineapple surprise cake

- 1/2 can pineapple slices
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup juice from pineapple juice (from can)
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 small bottle of red food colouring
