- 2 pounds assorted ripe tomatoes, seeded and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
